Learn the rules of Sevens

Take a moment to check the current turn. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. Start a new round when you are ready to try again. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each. Keep the goal in mind before your next move.

Four-player free Sevens with three local computer opponents. This table uses the seven-of-diamonds opening and low Aces.

Build familiarity through play

The example and rules describe the same game you can play above. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end. Keep the goal in mind before your next move.

What counts as success

Begin with the basic rule, then follow the result of your action. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. Start a new round when you are ready to try again.

How to proceed

  1. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.
  2. The holder of 7♦ must play it first. Other suits can open with their own seven.
  3. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.
  4. Play a legal card whenever possible. Passing is allowed only when no card fits.
  5. The first player with an empty hand wins the round.

The controls to know

Check the rule below as you play. Tap an enabled card from your hand. The suit rows show cards already played. Use Pass only when it is enabled. Start a new round when you are ready to try again.

Learn from a sample situation

Keep the goal in view while choosing a move. After 7♥ is opened, 6♥ or 8♥ can be played. 5♥ must wait until 6♥ is on the table.

Watch out for this

A careful first move helps you understand the round. A matching rank in another suit does not extend an existing row. Every suit has its own sequence.
